Medical Services
Certified French medics who plan with SAMU and meet Code du travail rules on every production.
France's Code du travail sets clear health and safety rules for film shoots. The country's well-run emergency system (SAMU) gives a solid framework for on-set medical cover. French set medics work within these rules, hold the right national certifications, and plan ahead with local hospitals and emergency services in each production region.
Our network has skilled medical staff who support shoots at La Cité du Cinéma, on Parisian streets, at remote heritage sites like Mont-Saint-Michel and Pont du Gard, and in tough Alpine and coastal spots. They know both the rules of French production and the medical risks tied to stunts, harsh weather, and long shooting days.

On Location
On-set medical cover compliant with French law
Medical cover on a French shoot sits inside the Code du travail and the prevention duties that the CRAMIF and the DRIEETS take seriously. Our set medics are infirmiers diplômés d'état, secouristes professionnels, and AFGSU-trained paramedics who work to the standards French production insurance bodies recognise. We write our risk plans against the Document Unique d'Évaluation des Risques that the production manager has to file.
The day might be a stage shoot at La Cité du Cinéma, a stunt sequence outside Lyon, a water unit on the Côte d'Azur near Marseille, or a high-altitude location in the Pyrenees south of Toulouse. In each case, we size the cover to the real risk profile, not to the cheapest body on the truck.
Planning is the load-bearing piece. Our medics carry the local SAMU number, the nearest CHU or CRAMIF-recognised hospital, and the right sapeurs-pompiers brigade on a printed sheet that the 1st AD signs off before the call. They handle bilingual incident reporting, the déclaration d'accident du travail that French law needs, and the follow-up with the production insurer. That way, the production manager is not learning the French emergency system at 4am from a hotel room in Bordeaux or Lille.

FAQ
Medical Coverage Expertise
When is a set medic required?
French Code du travail rules and production insurance call for medical cover on stunts, pyrotechnics, large crews, remote locations, and long days. Our team helps you set the right cover level for your production's French legal and insurance needs.
What qualifications do your medics have?
Our medics hold French national certifications — infirmier diplômé d'état, secouriste professionnel, or equal qualifications. Each one is trained in on-set medical response and has worked on French and global shoots.
What equipment do medics bring?
Our medics arrive with gear matched to the production's risk assessment. Standard cover brings full first aid supplies. Stunts and action at French studios or locations get boosted gear, including oxygen, AEDs, and trauma supplies.
How do you handle emergencies?
We set up emergency protocols before production — SAMU contact steps, hospital routes from each French location, sapeur-pompier planning, and evacuation plans. Our bilingual medics speak with both global crews and French emergency services.
Can you cover remote locations?
Yes, we give medical cover for remote French locations such as Alpine settings, rural Provence, isolated heritage sites, and coastal Normandy. For these spots, we plan for longer SAMU response times and bring boosted gear.
What about stunt coverage?
For stunt work at La Cité du Cinéma or on location across France, we give boosted medical cover with extra staff and gear. Our medics work with stunt coordinators and know the French rules for high-risk filming.
