Focus Pullers / 1st ACs
Pro focus pullers delivering sharp, precise images for your French production.
Here is how this works in practice. A focus puller, also known as the 1st Assistant Camera, is responsible for keeping sharp focus on the subject during each take. They measure distances, set focus marks, and execute precise lens adjustments in real time, often while both camera and subject are in motion. Accurate focus pulling is one of the most demanding tech skills on a film set.
Here is the short of it. We connect you with focus pullers who bring reliability and precision to each shooting scenario. Our network has 1st ACs skilled with all major camera systems, from large-format cinema cameras to lightweight documentary rigs, making sure each frame is critically sharp.

On Location
1st ACs trusted by French camera departments
Here is how this works in practice. Focus pulling on a French production is judged by the same standard as cinematography itself. And our 1st ACs come from that custom. Many trained at Louis Lumière école or learned the craft helping on AFC-led features at Cité du Cinéma, then graduated into busy commercial and series work across Paris, Lyon, and Marseille. They run Preston FI+Z, ARRI WCU-4, and Tilta Nucleus systems with equal confidence, and they prep cameras at TSF, Panavision Alga, RVZ, or Transpacam without translation friction.
Here is the short of it. What you get in practice is a 1st AC who can build an ARRI Alexa Mini LF or Sony VENICE 2 cleanly in the morning, hold key focus on a moving wide-open large-format shot in the afternoon, and hand off camera reports to the DIT and post house in the format Eclair or Hiventy expects. They lead the 2nd AC and loader as a working unit, communicate fluently in French and English with the DP and operator, and protect the lens, body, and media chain across the most demanding shooting days in Paris, Bordeaux, Nice, or anywhere on a French location move.
