Focus Pullers / 1st ACs
Pro focus pullers who deliver sharp, precise images for your French production.
A focus puller, also called the 1st Assistant Camera, keeps sharp focus on the subject during each take. They measure distances, set focus marks, and make precise lens moves in real time. This often happens while both camera and subject are moving. Accurate focus pulling is one of the hardest tech skills on a film set.
We connect you with focus pullers who bring steady, precise work to each shoot. Our network has 1st ACs skilled with every major camera system. They handle large-format cinema cameras and light documentary rigs alike, so each frame stays critically sharp.

On Location
1st ACs trusted by French camera departments
On a French production, focus pulling is judged by the same standard as cinematography itself, and our 1st ACs come from that tradition. Many trained at Louis Lumière école or learned the craft on AFC-led features at Cité du Cinéma. They then moved into busy commercial and series work across Paris, Lyon, and Marseille. They run Preston FI+Z, ARRI WCU-4, and Tilta Nucleus systems with equal ease, and they prep cameras at TSF, Panavision Alga, RVZ, or Transpacam without any language friction.
You get a 1st AC who can build an ARRI Alexa Mini LF or Sony VENICE 2 cleanly in the morning. In the afternoon, they hold key focus on a moving, wide-open large-format shot. They then hand camera reports to the DIT and post house in the format Eclair or Hiventy expects. They lead the 2nd AC and loader as one working unit, and they speak fluent French and English with the DP and operator. Across the toughest shooting days in Paris, Bordeaux, Nice, or anywhere on a French location move, they protect the lens, body, and media chain.
