Scroll

Aerial drone services give cinematic overhead and sweeping views. The shots come from remotely piloted aircraft fitted with pro camera systems. Drones offer cost-effective coverage for establishing shots, action sequences, and location reveals. They suit any production that needs an elevated or bird's-eye viewpoint.

We set up fully licensed aerial drone services that meet local aviation rules and airspace needs. Our team manages flight permits, safety reviews, and operator choice. This way, your production captures stunning aerial footage safely and legally at each site.

DGAC-certified drone cinematography across France

French airspace is one of the most tightly controlled in Europe. A clean drone shot in Paris means filing the right S2 or S3 scenario and getting prefecture approval. It also means clearing zones around Charles de Gaulle and Issy-les-Moulineaux well before the rotors spin. Our pilots are DGAC-certified operators with full ATO records, and they manage NOTAMs for cross-département moves. They have flown commercial sequences over Bordeaux vineyards, the Côte d'Azur coastline, and the slate rooftops of central Lyon. They arrive with the forms already done.

Gear ranges from DJI Inspire and Mavic kits for run-and-gun coverage to heavy-lift rigs. The big rigs carry ARRI Alexa Mini and RED V-Raptor bodies for feature-grade aerial work. Dedicated FPV pilots handle chase sequences through the Marseille calanques or proximity passes inside Loire Valley castle interiors. We also run night operations, off-limits-zone sign-off around Paris monuments, and multi-drone choreographies for events at the Stade de France. Each of these needs three to four weeks of lead time, fully insured and operator-watched.

FAQ

Aerial Cinematography Expertise

What drone certifications do your pilots have?

All our pilots hold the French DGAC certifications needed for commercial drone work. Many also hold certifications from other aviation authorities. We keep full records, including flight logs, insurance, and operational manuals.

Can you fly drones in cities like Paris?

Urban drone flying in France needs special sign-off. Paris has large off-limits airspace, but we can get permits for set locations with advance notice. Our team handles every filing and plans the shoot with the authorities.

What cameras can you mount on drones?

We fly built-in camera systems like the DJI Inspire and Mavic lines, plus heavy-lift platforms carrying RED, ARRI Mini, and other cinema cameras. The platform we pick matches your image quality needs and how complex the shot is.

Do you provide FPV drone services?

Yes, our skilled FPV pilots handle dynamic shots, from chase sequences to indoor flying and high-speed proximity work. The FPV team uses purpose-built drones with cinema-quality cameras for broadcast-ready footage.

What about night aerial filming?

We're signed off for night drone work with proper lighting systems, stronger safety protocols, and the right certifications. Night flying needs extra planning and sign-off, so please share your needs early.

How far in advance should we book?

Standard aerial shoots can often be set up with 1-2 weeks notice. Complex jobs that need special sign-off, off-limits airspace access, or multi-drone setups may take 3-4 weeks for proper planning and approval.

Productions in France that need this often pair it with Helicopter Filming, High Speed Filming, and Cable Cam Systems for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Camera & Cinematography and Drone Videography.
