Grip Services
Professional grip crews and equipment for camera and lighting support across France.
Grip services supply the support hardware and rigging that shape light and place cameras on set. Our grip teams use stands, flags, frames, dollies, and special rigging to control how light looks and to set cameras with care, so each shot serves the story.
We source grip kit and skilled grip crews who know the physical demands of set work. Our team builds gear packages to your key grip's specs, so every piece arrives ready to run and meets the safety standards your production needs.

Key grips and rigging crews across French productions
Our key grips and grip departments rise through the same Paris and Lyon feature pipeline that supplies TF1, Arte, and Gaumont shoots. They know French set protocol and CMB safety inspection needs. They also know how to rig in Haussmann-listed buildings, where each clamp lands without a single witness mark. Standard packages run Fisher 10 and 11 dollies, Chapman Hustler IV cranes, and Mathews track, plus full Current Studio C-stand, flag, and rag stock pulled from TSF Machinerie, Transpalux, and Panavision Alga. Specialty kits add Russian Arm, Motocrane, and U-Crane car process rigs, along with Stabileye and Newton remote heads.
Our rigging grips hold the Travail en Hauteur certifications that French production insurers need for overhead truss, façade rigs over the Place Vendôme, and high-line work in venues like the Grand Palais. You might need a single dolly grip for a Marais interior, a five-grip department for a music-video shoot in the Calanques, or a full rigging crew building a 12m butterfly outside a Loire Valley château. In each case we scope, source, and crew the package against your shot list, and we back the gear with same-day swap-outs from depot stock in Île-de-France.
FAQ
Our Grip Network
What does a grip department do?
The grip department supports both camera and lighting. They run dollies, cranes, and camera support gear for camera moves. They also handle all non-electrical lighting support, such as stands, rigging, diffusion frames, flags, and bounce or negative fill.
What positions are in a grip department?
Key Grip leads the department and works closely with the gaffer and DP. Best Boy Grip manages gear and logistics. Dolly Grip operates camera dollies. Company Grips handle general grip work. Rigging Grips focus on pre-rigging and construction.
When do I need a grip vs. an electrician?
Electricians handle anything electrical, such as lights, power distribution, and cables. Grips handle physical support and rigging, such as stands, camera movement gear, flags, and diffusion frames. The gaffer leads the electrics, and the key grip leads the grip.
What equipment is included in grip packages?
Most grip packages include C-stands, flags, nets, silks, bounce boards, apple boxes, sandbags, clamps, and basic rigging. Dollies, cranes, and specialty gear are usually add-ons that we quote on their own.
Do your grips have rigging certifications?
Yes. Our rigging grips hold the right certifications for overhead work, truss systems, and safety rigging. Certified rigging supervisors oversee complex rigging work and keep it within industry safety needs.
Can you provide grip trucks with equipment?
We set up full grip truck packages through our rental partners. Each one comes with the truck, a driver, and a complete grip kit. We book crew on its own, based on what your production needs.
