SCENE 01 / LENS FILTERS
Lens Filters
Professional cinema filters for your French production.
Lens filters are optical tools that shape the light entering the camera. They control exposure, contrast, reflections, and color. A pro filter set with NDs, polarizers, diffusion, and effects filters gives cinematographers fine creative control over the image right at the point of capture.
We give you pro lens filter sets matched to your lens sizes and creative needs. Our team sources filters from trusted suppliers, so optical quality meets cinema standards. We then set up delivery alongside your camera and lens package.

Cinema lens filters for French shooting conditions
A French shoot tests your filter choices against some of the most varied light in Europe. Think of the hard Mediterranean glare on a Côte d'Azur exterior, the long golden hour across a Provence vineyard, the soft overcast of a Paris autumn, and the mixed tungsten-and-window practicals of a Lyon period interior. We supply full IRND and standard ND ladders from 0.3 through 2.1, plus Tiffen Black Pro-Mist, Schneider Classic Soft, and Glimmerglass diffusion sets. We also source circular and linear polarizers through TSF, Panavision Alga, and RVZ in both 4x5.65 and 6.6x6.6 cinema sizes.
Our team sets up filter testing time at the prep house alongside your camera and lens package. The DP can then run diffusion comparisons against the actual glass and sensor before the first shoot day. We ship matte boxes from ARRI and Bright Tangerine with the right stage count for your filter stack, and we supply spare and graduated NDs for fast exterior swings. We also keep extra diffusion grades on standby in Paris, so a day-two look change need not wait for a next-day courier from Marseille or Bordeaux.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What ND filter densities do you stock?
We carry a full range of ND filters from 0.3 (1 stop) up to 2.1 (7 stops), plus variable NDs and graduated NDs. We stock both standard ND and IRND filters, which control infrared when you shoot with digital cameras.
Which diffusion filters do you recommend?
The top choices are Tiffen Black Pro-Mist and Schneider Classic Soft, which smooth skin gently without losing sharpness. Glimmerglass adds halation to the highlights. Our team can test options with your camera to find the right look.
Do you have 4x5.65 and 6.6x6.6 sizes?
Yes, we stock filters in both standard cinema sizes—4x5.65 for most matte boxes and 6.6x6.6 for larger format work. Our team can match the filters to your matte box system.
What polarizer options are available?
We give circular polarizers in many sizes to cut reflections and deepen skies. We also have linear polarizers for certain effects. Our team can advise on the right polarizer for your camera system.
Can you provide matte boxes with filters?
Yes, we supply matte boxes from ARRI, Bright Tangerine, and others, set up with the filter stages you need. Each matte box can be matched to your lens package for the best results.
Do you offer filter testing?
Yes, we suggest testing diffusion and effects filters with your own camera and lenses before the shoot. Our team can set up testing time to help you find the right combination.
