Cinema camera rental across France's production hubs
Cinema camera packages in France draw on one of the deepest rental networks in Europe. Panavision Alga, ARRI Rental, TSF, RVZ, and Transpalux all run prep facilities near Paris. We work across the whole network to source ARRI Alexa 35, Mini LF, RED V-Raptor, Sony Venice 2, and Panavision DXL2 bodies. Each one is matched to your DP's actual shot list.
A feature staging out of Cité du Cinéma, a commercial moving between Bastille and the Côte d'Azur, or a documentary day in Bordeaux each call for a different camera build. We set up each one with the lens mount, recording media, and accessory chain it needs from the start.
Our team handles ATA carnet processing for inbound global shoots and books prep days at the rental house closest to your basecamp. We set up 24-hour delivery anywhere in France, with same-day swaps inside Paris. Each package is prepped and tested by skilled French camera technicians, who clean the sensor, calibrate the lens, verify firmware, and condition the battery. DITs, prep techs, and on-set support stay reachable for the full shoot. A Komodo failure on day three of a Provence schedule gets replaced before lunch, not after wrap.
FAQ
Camera Rental Expertise
What camera systems are available in France?
We source all major cinema camera systems. These include the ARRI Alexa 35, Mini LF, and Alexa Mini, plus the RED V-Raptor, Komodo, and Gemini. We also stock the Sony Venice 2, FX9, and FX6, the Blackmagic URSA series, and the Panavision DXL2 and Millennium. Specialty cameras for high-speed, underwater, and aerial work are ready too.
How far in advance should I book camera equipment?
We advise booking standard packages 2-4 weeks ahead, and 4-6 weeks for special gear or busy periods (May-September). However, we keep emergency stock on hand and can often take last-minute requests through our rental network.
Do you provide camera technicians with rentals?
Yes, we can arrange skilled camera technicians, DITs, and prep technicians to go with your rental. They provide on-set support, daily camera prep, data management, and troubleshooting across your production.
How do you handle equipment for international productions?
We handle all logistics for global shoots, such as ATA carnet processing, customs records, and delivery planning. Our team manages the paperwork so your gear clears smoothly into France.
What's included in camera prep?
Full camera prep covers sensor cleaning, lens calibration, testing of every part, firmware updates, battery conditioning, and cable and connector checks. We give detailed reports and make sure it is all production-ready.
Can you source specialty or vintage lenses?
Yes, we source specialty glass, such as anamorphic lenses (Panavision, Cooke, ARRI), vintage rehoused lenses, and unique character glass. We work with specialty rental houses across Europe to find the exact look you want.
