SCENE 01 / TIMELAPSE HYPERLAPSE

Time-lapse & Hyperlapse

Creative time manipulation for stunning visual sequences across France.

Scroll

Timelapse and hyperlapse photography squeeze long stretches of time into gripping sequences that show change, movement, and mood. From the shifting light across the Parisian skyline to clouds rolling over the French Alps, these techniques turn hours of natural beauty and urban energy into striking footage. The result adds depth and context to any production.

We set up timelapse and hyperlapse capture across France with specialized gear and skilled operators. Our crews know exposure ramping, motion control, and the logistics of long shoots. Whether we capture holy grail transitions over the Eiffel Tower or coastal tide patterns along the Cote d'Azur, our team handles gear placement, power, and security. You receive polished time-compressed footage that is ready for the edit.

Time-lapse and hyperlapse capture across France

France gives some of the most cinematic time-lapse subjects in Europe, and we have rigs running on most of them. We shoot holy-grail transitions over the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre pyramid, plus multi-month construction time-lapses on Grand Paris projects. We also cover seasonal sequences in the Loire Valley vineyards and storm-cell pulls across the Camargue wetlands and Côte d'Azur. Weatherproof Tikee 3 PRO+ and Brinno enclosures handle unattended outdoor installs. Motion-control rigs from the Syrp Genie II, eMotimo range ST4, and custom Edelkrone sliders deliver hyperlapses through the Galeries Lafayette, the Calanques, and along the Promenade de la Croisette during festival week.

Our operators are based in Paris, Lyon, and Marseille for fast call-outs. We add rental support from RVZ and TSF when a shoot needs more than owner kits. Each long install carries prefecture permissions where needed, secured mounting agreed with the property owner, and solar or mains power with battery fallback. Remote tracking over a 4G uplink means we know within minutes if a rig stops. We deliver footage deflickered, stabilised, and graded to your project LUT in resolutions up to 8K, ready to drop into a sequence without an extra post pass.

FAQ

Technical Excellence

How long can time-lapse captures run continuously?

We run time-lapse projects from single-day shoots to year-long installs. Long projects use weatherproof housings and large storage. Power comes from solar, mains, or rotating batteries, and remote tracking keeps the rig running without a break.

What's the difference between time-lapse and hyperlapse?

Time-lapse captures a fixed scene over time, such as clouds moving or construction progress. Hyperlapse adds camera movement through space, walking or driving while shooting frames, which creates dynamic traveling sequences compressed in time.

What resolution and frame rates do you deliver?

We capture up to 8K resolution and deliver in any format you need from 24fps to 60fps. A higher capture resolution lets us stabilize, crop, and zoom in post. None of it costs you quality.

Can you handle day-to-night (holy grail) transitions?

Yes. Holy grail time-lapse needs special techniques like exposure ramping, aperture changes, and ISO control to keep exposure smooth across dramatic lighting shifts. Our team has deep experience with these tricky sequences.

What equipment do you use for time-lapse production?

We use pro cameras from Sony, Canon, and Nikon in weatherproof housings with intervalometers. Our kit also adds motion control from eMotimo, Syrp, and custom rigs, plus solar or battery power and large storage. We match the gear to the project length and the conditions on site.

How do you handle weather and security for outdoor installations?

Outdoor installs use weatherproof housings rated for local conditions. We arrange secure mounting and access with the property owners. Remote tracking alerts us to issues, and we schedule regular upkeep visits for long projects.

Productions in France that need this often pair it with Steadicam & Gimbal Operators, Underwater Camera Operators, and Director of Photography Services for full coverage. Most projects also draw on Stop Motion Production and Wire Cam Systems.
